Kerry Bannigan Interview Pt. 2

Fashion Avenue Glammie: What opportunities/services does Nolcha offer designers throughout the year?

Kerry Bannigan: Nolcha.com offers daily business advice for emerging fashion designers with information ranging from manufacturing, money, marketing, trends, and general industry news. We also offer retail placement, networking events and editorial features. Learn more at www.nolcha.com/services

Glammie: Tell us about the Nolcha Retail Store.

KB: The Nolcha Retail Store is a temporary pop up space in New York City that we used to create a hub for emerging accessory designers new to the USA market.Through this we have developed the retail incubator that will work with fashion designes to place them into a variety of New York City retailers.

Glammie: What's your advice for aspiring designers/business people?

KB: My advice to any aspiring business person is to work smart, always think things through as what may appear as an amazing opportunity at first could soon appear to have unwanted consequences. And remind yourself daily about your goals-take five minutes to read through a goal list and understand what you want to achieve. Staying focused is not always easy when starting a business due to so many distractions, but if you can master the art of focusing you will be unstoppable.

An extra word of advice to those in the fashion business: learn to see through the fog and the wannabe's and do not trust easily. Keep business seperate from pleasure as it is a difficult industry to divide that fine line. You must enjoy what you are doing or it is not worth it.
